The Archives
Located on the 2nd floor, the Archives
is a rich repository of the official papers and history of the
College. Its collection includes historic letters and documents,
photographs and memorabilia, as well as College catalogs and
yearbooks.
Located nearby are two interesting
furniture items—the desk that belonged to Captain Reinhardt, a
co-founder of the College, is on permanent display, along with a
desk belonging to Fredonia Blanton, the College’s first graduate
who later became a Reinhardt faculty member. The Archives is a growing collection
and welcomes gifts that expand our understanding of the College’s
history.
Special Collections
Over the years, the library has acquired
a number of interesting early editions and small noteworthy
collections, of particular interest is the
Annie Laurie Jones Cunyus Hymnal Collection.
