The Annie Laurie Jones Cunyus Hymnal Collection

The Annie Laurie Jones Cunyus Hymnal Collection was donated by Dorothy Anne Roth. Mrs. Cunyus, grandmother of donor Dorothy Anne Roth, was born at Cartersville, at "Fairview," in August 1871. She sang throughout the American south with her legendary Evangelist uncle, the Reverend Sam P. Jones. Mrs. Cunyus also sang with her father, the Reverend Joe Jones, and with the Reverend B. F. Pim, father of Dorothy Anne Roth.

In addition to Mrs. Cunyus's hymnals, the collection includes sermon notes of Benjamin Franklin Pim, books about Sam Jones, photographs of Mrs. Cunyus and the Rev. Joe Jones and other relevant books.

This wonderful, rich collection is housed in the Archives and Special Collection Room and is available for viewing by appointment.
