Access to databases and other electronic resources from
off-campus
Currently
enrolled students, faculty and staff of Reinhardt College have
off-campus access to all of the Library’s databases and
electronic resources. The Library‘s Proxy Server allows authorized
Reinhardt College ID holders to gain remote access to these
resources. Please contact the Public Safety Office at
770-720-5911 if you need a Reinhardt ID.
How to use the proxy server?
When you
request a Library database or electronic resource, the proxy
server will prompt you to enter your last
name and your Reinhardt College ID number. Once the proxy
server confirms you are an authorized user, you have full access
to all the electronic resources and databases. Typically, you will
only enter this information once during an online
session.
Do I need to know the GALILEO
password?
No. The proxy
server eliminates the need for the GALILEO password. The proxy
server allows you access all GALILEO databases and the Reinhardt
College databases.
In the event that the proxy
server DOES NOT allow access to the Galileo suite of databases,
you can go to
www.galileo.usg.edu and a dialogue box will pop-up. You can
contact the Library staff at either the Main Campus of at North
Fulton for the current Galileo password.
